About ten years we began to see a radical shift in the quality and more importantly the tone and tenor of modern games. They increasingly began to depart from the vision of making art and entertainment and moved in a ideological direction, captured by what we have come to know as wokeism. I argue this pretty much corresponds with the coming of adult age of millennials and the departure and reduction of generation X as the stewards of entertainment. Having imbibed and consumed the fumes of the internet and its ideological diet, the younger generations are likely doomed to bring us ever more of this rot...and it will continue to get worse.
