I abhor the thought that TRUMP made it a priority to discard internet neutrality.

He started strong. And I will never support a Democommie or Socialist. But, as time goes on, it is observable--and frustrating--to see him DELIBERATELY be less effective, opting, instead, to serve the likes of the GOP, whom only care about themselves.

IF, by cheating or some other phenomena, the Demorats win the election, perhaps it will be for the better--I prefer lighting that gigantic POWDER KEG instead of being ever-so-slowly subjugated.

We have rights. We don't have to put up with their bullshit:

Title 18, U.S.C., Section 241 - Conspiracy Against Rights
This statute makes it unlawful for two or more persons to conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person of any state, territory or district in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the United States, (or because of his/her having exercised the same).

It further makes it unlawful for two or more persons to go in disguise on the highway or on the premises of another with the intent to prevent or hinder his/her free exercise or enjoyment of any rights so secured.

Punishment varies from a fine or imprisonment of up to ten years, or both; and if death results, or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years, or for life, or may be sentenced to death.

Google was evil from day one. Their business model was to possess the “mind of God,” a.k.a. Be the repository for all data and knowledge on the planet.

I remember sites I went to for “interesting” knowledge and alternative media sources. I watched pretty much all of them disappear since ‘99/2000. I’m sure just didn’t have the $$$ to maintain their site, but even then Google could erase a site by directing traffic away from it...which can starve a site to death because nobody will advertise on it.

I was told years ago the if you want to always find a site, write down the IP address. Not Google’s doing, but the DNS protocol is basically a phone directory. You type in a plain language URL (e.g., www.pornhub.com) and the DNS registry looks up the IP address and forwards you. The DNS system can be “tweaked” to make sites vanish. Web browsers don’t navigate on the URL...they use the IP address. So, if you know the IP address, you can always access the site if it’s still up.

What I have heard discussed in the past, is they need their 230 protection removed. Or, better yet give them a choice. They are either a service provider or a publisher - NOT BOTH!!! If they decide to be a publisher and responsible for all the content they provide, then they can limit what is "published" by their site. If they decide to be a service provider (like the phone co.), then no algorithms, no censoring of data and no meddling in the peoples discourse.

We have deals where these companies get deals left and right for taxes, cheaper shipping, intelligence agencies exchanging people with silicon valley, among other things I'm sure.

The blacklisting has to stop whether we are paying for the upkeep or not. Something tells me the breaking up of companies is not part of the art of the deal when it comes to getting America started again. Maybe it should be.

Amazing research and can't disagree with any of this at all. Google does more than just dominate practically everything on the Internet: They take a lot of power for their server farms. In fact, in some places where they have installations, they hog the electrical grid which was built by... guess who? That's right. The government. They so dominate the public utility in some areas that they get special treatment. It's not clear what the impact is, but we as taxpayers are certainly heavily impacted by it. This is insulting because we taxpayers get caught in a two way squeeze: Google is making money off us commercially (and censoring us and those who would serve us with real journalism with their liberal progressive policies) and they are squeezing us on the other side through the government through taxation that helps pay for their infrastructure built to make money off us and feed us info they want us to see.

Because Google (and Facebook) not only lobby government officials, but also are in bed with the lamestream media, they are also in bed with the liberals (Democrats) which means that the laws will continue to favor them and the court cases? The same kind of judge that is persecuting General Flynn is the one that's going to make decisions about 'monopolies' and 'public utilities' and 'platforms'. All we have to do is take a look at Ajit Pai shilling for the big communications company and it should take your breath away. You think that deregulating Internet providers is going to help the rural residents in podunkville? It won't. The system is stacked against us.

The best we can do is vote out the liberals and Democrats, p;rogressives and leftists. It may be an uphill battle, but it is well worth the effort.
