Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous - and the Great Relapse Rate.

I was a contributing writer to the NA basic text. There are many things wrong with it. One of things stated is, "The theraputic value of one addict helping another is without parallel". - You need to question the content of what you are told. If 1000 people joined NA today, within 3 months 50% are gone, 5% (50) people get to 1 year sober, 15 get to 5 years drug free, ~10 people get to 10 years sober. So up to the 10 year sober mark, if 99% of people deal them selves out of the game, and mostly relapse, then most of the bench marks and most of the advice, from most of the people in NA, is bad advice, from dishonest, and lazy people.

If you think I am full of shit, stat keeping list of the around the room ID's and list them.... The numbers thin out very quick.

Go to 10 different meetings that have the around the room ID's and then list 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 9-12 months, 1 year, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 + years.

Then tabulate the results.

These are my words on Patricks Website from 2012:

What is the REAL A.A. success rate?

Out of each 1000 newcomers to A.A., how many will pick up a one-year
sobriety medallion a year later? Or ever?

And how many will get their 2-year, and 5-year, and 10-year coins?

How about 11 years and 21 years?

HINT: the answers are "here" and "here" and "here".
