Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo God No..

In the railways they have what are designated, minimal clearance structures..... So when they want to shift the tracks say 20 cm to the left or right, then the train is going to hit it - like the walls in tight curved tunnels or columns supporting the overhead wires, in odd locations, where there is no where else to put them....

This is why it's SO dangerous to assume that all things near the tracks, are all at least say 1.5 meters away....

There can be gates and fences at the end of platforms that clear the outer projections of the train by 30cm.... ALL sorts of things - NEVER stick your head out of a moving train door - just creep your head out slowly - peeking around the edge, into the direction that the train is travelling....

Or sitting in the train doorway - because there might be a used or unused platform still in existence, and when the train goes racing through there, or it's dark and you don't see it, or because your not looking out the door ALL the time - the train goes into the station or races past it, and there go your legs - torn off.....

And the kids on top of the train..... I was thinking that there might be low hanging steel cable that runs over the tracks, or that tunnel..... just how much lower does the bridges have to be before they get scraped off etc.
