Ships ‘hover’ over the Sea of Azov

A rare optical illusion was captured on camera in Yeysk, a resort town in Russia’s Krasnodar Region, near the Sea of Azov. The mirage, called Fata Morgana, appears when cold air close to the water is topped by warmer air, creating different densities.
