Well, it's clear why it was "first time in a while". You (men) generally date to find a partner (though women probably do not), so why would you start competing with that person the moment the word "competitive" is dropped? It negates the purpose of the date. And men do not want to come home to a competitor; if she does not change her mindset she will sabotage her chances to ever find a partner. Also, if her story is true, she just proved that she has no dignity and is prepared to go to extremes to get what she wants. Guess what will happen at the first disagreement with her future partner?
