Watch out for "fertiliser" that is NPK - or Nitrogen / Potassium / Calcium - ONLY fertilisers, as they are the fertilisers that are added to basically "sand" soils that have little to no organic matter in the soil, along with all the nutrients in the soil, that the plants take up...

Essentially you will get fast growing, bright and shiny vegetables, that are deficient in a lot of minerals - they are basically sticks of fortified water.

This is what is mean by vegetables that are grown in nutrient deficient soils....

NPK fertilisers are the same as feeding a clapped out motor that burns oil and smokes up bad - it barely runs and can hardly get past walking speed, etc.. a decent dose of nitromethane.

Couple the hydroponic system to an indoor fish farm.... that way you can get a whole combination of nutrients to your hydroponics and you get fish to eat as well.

Basically you can feed your air bubbler up out of the tank, to the plant roots and then the water goes back into the fish tank..... The plant roots take up all the "fish shit" and ammonia (nitrogen) out of the water and grow the plants.....

Aquaponic is probably his next step. He's taking a baby step here. I'm glad his also making DIY videos other than bashing some Karens.

By the way, NPK is Nitrogen, Phosphorus & Potassium (Kalium) compound fertilizer.

@hqwebsite: Thanks for the correction...... I forget things and or get things confused... especially if the memories are kind of great duration.... There was a photo a mum put up of her daughter holding a handful of FRESH, SWEET, GREEN ORGANIC, BIG hot chillies, deep green and it had been both fairly warm, soil temperature wise and there had been fairly solid intermittent showers - and these chillies would have been juicy and firm and CRISP...... I would have bought up 2 or so Kilos - except they only had like 200 grams and it was an hour and a halfs drive on a round trip... : ( There are quite a few veges that perish very quickly without proper storage.... within hours like Bok Choy, etc.. and some fade away after a day or so..... If you get really really nice fresh vegetables.... I used to be eating 2 Vietnamese pork rolls on the way to work every morning.... Fantastic ....

@hqwebsite: Have you ever had Vietnamese pork rolls? They vary between the bakeries..... a few are fucking brilliant.... most are fair to passable...

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: No. I never had any Vietnamese food before. I do know the North & South Vietnamese are diverse though. The mostly Confucius North & the mostly Buddhist South.
