I didn't get involved in any gang shit of the times, but this movie, the area, it was in my "back yard" so to speak and I saw bits and pieces going on around me....
These are things I sort of knew about, cruised through, skimmed past.. They were all filmed in inner city Melbourne - which was my sort of home town / stomping ground / went through / was familiar with etc.. The people in the scenes in the movies - I wasn't personally aquainted with them, but I was familiar with most of what when on in them.
These WERE important to me, because my life had been stolen from me and I didn't have much of a past to go back to, to rebuild a life from, and to eventually say good bye too.
