Red Cross footage shows desperate conditions of Gaza civilians

The International Red Cross Committee (ICRC) have released harrowing footage of a recent trip to Gaza, which highlights the lack of basic supplies, medical services and infrastructure. The team’s video shows civilian families wandering through seemingly endless rubble, many carrying makeshift white flags and what few belongings they have left.

The Gaza Health Ministry reports that since Israel began its war with Hamas, at least 30,000 Palestinians have been killed, 30,000 injured, while around 10,000 more are missing under rubble. Meanwhile, UN agencies have warned that Gaza could be facing a famine by May, unless there is a dramatic surge in humanitarian aid. Overland deliveries of food, medical supplies and other essentials have reportedly been blocked by the IDF, leading to calls from the international community for Israel to begin allowing shipments through.
