I would have a built on hull extension dive platform / live well.. with prop pockets.. for shallow draft drives.. straight drives to a thrust bearing in frame.. bush hog splined shafts.. U-joints.. for quiet drives.. It's amazing how poorly designed the straight drives are for boats.. pushing the boat through the engine mounts.. vibration noise.. well, not mine.. Mine would be like a car.. simple enough to soft mount the engines..

Much of the knowledge I have comes from experience.. so I suggest.. keep busy.. its good for ya.

Getting out on the water in the keys can be a life changing experience.. it is refreshing..

Through the years I had many people attempt to gain access to my workshop.. from my business partner literally trying to push the door open while I was holding it,, to socalled osha weirdos.. The osha guy called and wanted to come out. I said "WHAT SHOP?" he said you dont have a shop. I said hell no.. wtf are you talkjing about.. raising my voice.. lol.

many customers.. fake customers.. I even had some pos fake customer had me drive 30 miles so he could watch how I measure for a specific thing.. wasted my time and my money.. to steal my ideas..

I ended up cherry picking my customers.. higehst quality best price.. I was like the soup nazi.! no soup! for you!!! you dont want my money? mope.. I can only do so much and I may as well do what is good for me.. too far away.. too complicated nonsense.. I turned work away all te time..

I wont work in some hirise where they want you to sign in, unload your stuff,, then drive down the road to park in shitville and they will tram you back.,.. "oh, it's a hirise on tyhe beach? . im not gonna be able to help you then.. and let my competition eat all the shit..

One of my best purchases.?? garage door wheels.. the steel bearing wheels on shafts used on garage doors.. I put them to use.. lol.

That was the last day I worked with Ronnie.. I would walk through Ronnies houses just to look at his work. he had been there for 3 years.. He would get vbery upset about it.. I am like wwth.. I am just looking things over. .he was so mad.. did not want me going into the houses still under construction that anyonbe could walk into.. I hought later maybe he thought I would sabotage his work.. like he did mine? .. heheh.. they should not let the foreigners into America.. I am certain of that..

The garage door rollers were a good score.. I needed to make indexing carriages.. for drill and other.. I ended up milling my own wood.. cheap sawmill.. I had no idea.. ened up making a roller fence. with power feeder.. so there is no rubbing.. no friction.. the wood goes through oin wheels.. the only resistance is the cutting edge of the bandsaw blade..

By that time I had plenty of money and credit.. I usded my credit and defaulted on it.. when the time was right.. I dont need credit.. I own my house.. lol.. I own everything.. Even stuff I bought on credit and defaulted. I STILL OWN IT.. buy it on credit and dont pay it back.. but then I dont need credit.. ahem.. and the banks have given me more cards.. and I pay them on time just like I had for years.. until I didnt.

I put a 2nd motor on my bandsaw.. to get the power I needed.. because Grizzly is for the PEOPLE.. not true commercial imo.. but I can turn their stuff into very useful tools.. get a Grizzly catalog and browze it.. they even have guitar making stuff..

I had an idea to fit a foot on a lower unit of an outboard, wit ha jet propulsion drive.. I see someone offers those now.. I was thinking of that in 1983.. I still have tools I bought back then.. I am 60 recently.. have worked for 40 years..
