New Japanese robot has lifelike sense of touch

A startup from Tokyo’s Keio University has developed a robot capable of providing detailed haptic feedback to its operator – with sensations so subtle it can allow surgeons to remotely manipulate and even ‘feel’ a patient’s organs.
