What a great job driving that, just like a giant wood plane.

Indeed, the ingenuity of designing such a machine, impressive.

@usr6874038614: I am kind of running out of smarts with this... but when you get 5 and 6 axis milling machines - and it's all really good high precision stuff - it's really impressive. But with this, OK you have the machine, it has forward and reverse = 1 axis. It has steering to the left and the right - another axis. The blade can spin right side forward or left side forward - another axis. The blade can tilt, right side down or left side down (sort of conventional) - another axis. The blade can be driven across to the right or across to the left - another axis. The whole blade and blade carrier and controls - can be pivoted around to outside the machine lines, to the left or the right - another axis. AND all of these controls, can work at the same time - effectively making it a compound cutter / bulldozer / grader / etc. Add on lazer blade control for precise levelling / gradients etc... The you can add on ripping tines to the rear, and I am not sure of all the things and their functions that can be bolted onto that big pre-drilled and slotted plate on the front... aside from weights... - but I can look it up... OK. Front Dozer Blade, Front Ripper, Snow Plow, Rotary Broom, Attachment platform with hydraulics...... AND anything that anyone thought, "Yeah - we need one of those" and fitted it too....

Indeed, it's basically a mega-multi-axis machine

@usr6874038614: Question to Chat Gpt ------------ What functional attachments or tools or machinery can be used in a road grader, in place of the grader blade? What other ways can the grader be used and how? ------------ "and while the main blade (moldboard) is their signature feature" ------- V-Ditcher Attachment ----------- Sloper Attachment (Slope Board) ------------- Compaction Roller --- some models can be frame-mounted under the grader ------------------ Milling Attachment (Cold Planer) --------------- Snow Blower or Plow - Front or mid-mounted ------------- Dozer Blade (Front-Mounted or Belly-Mounted) ------------ Asphalt Spreader Box (Road Widener) -------------- Laser or GPS-Controlled Blade Systems ----------------- Towing Implements Graders can tow: Disc harrows Scrapers Rollers Seeders Use case: Agriculture, land reclamation, rural road building. -------------- Forestry Use With appropriate attachments (rippers, brush blades), graders can: Clear vegetation Maintain forestry roads Pull logging equipment --------------- Underground or Pipeline Construction Graders assist with: Trench backfilling Fine grading over buried pipes Surface restoration after excavation ------------- Mining and Heavy Haul Road Maintenance Used to maintain haul roads in open-pit mines. Equipped with dust suppression sprayers, rippers, or reinforced blades. -------
