It's a really dumb idea.... actually.
The plane was perfectly operational and flyable.......
BUT assuming that the engine had stopped running, he had a huge enough height and a long and very slow glide rate, and he could have headed anywhere and landed anywhere... SAFE with a good surface, near inhabited areas....
Even a clean gravelled road / sealed highway / parking area / if not the airport he took off from himself.
While there is also a remote chance that the unguided aircraft, could have landed and killed someone or a number of people.... The chance still exists.
All being said, it was a waste of a perfectly good aircraft.
Fuck him - Idiot.
