We let the world burn and crumble than trying to save it but what happens when the fire reaches us? With smartphones and migration, no place is immune from the fire of the burning world. My town in the hills has in the past 20 years of migration from within India changed drastically. Crime is up, pollution is up, cost of living is up, local politics are more corrupt now, the demographic changed also. The west meanwhile is attracting all the worst parts of the 3rd world who hate the hate the west and want to conquer. There are the problems of crime, and politics are going to be even severe in coming years. What will the do that walk away from women and the system do then? I can say from personal experience, even basic survival will be a fight when the abduls, raj's & tyrones are the guys running everything. Are bachelor men by choice heading for extinction while the bad men are reproducing? I am not white so I can't just move to another country easily. I see dark times ahead for single men such as myself like me who can't just up & move. Well Chetan thanks for the donation and topic. You're right the world is burning and it's bad and we have South Africa to look at as the example of what the future is going to look like. Many of those of European descent live in gated communities, have solar panels and batteries setup to deal with the power outages while the poor people live on the outside at the mercy of the African National Congress. They have fortified their homes and neighborhoods. Plus they hire armed security companies to come in and patrol the area. Each house is built like a fortress and they are well armed. I'm predicting that much of the west is going to look like South Africa in the future. Or that single men will just travel to countries or jurisdictions that will treat them the best. Places that will be guarded by security robots that the poor and stupid people won't mess with. In many parts of India you have extreme poverty surrounding palace walls. Other countries in the west will choose to keep immigration at a minimum from places they don't like. They will probably attract the desirable immigrants from the west once the west starts to decline. I had friends in high school that came as kids to Canada just before or after Appartheid ended so I wouldn't be surprised if guys in England or Germany move to Japan or South Korea. The Eastern European and Southern European countries that are too poor to pay for social welfare programs are not going to be invaded. I can go back to Serbia as I have citizenship there and the way of life in many ways is comparable to the west. Of course someone like yourself Chetan won't be able to go to Russian, Poland, Hungary or Serbia to escape the world as it crumbles. As for your pessimism the cost of living is up everywhere thanks to inflation caused by money printing. With the poverty that inflation brings crime goes up. Also politicians have always been corrupt. You're just seeing it more as you get older. But don't lose all hope for Western Europe because it will eventually impoverish itself with all the social programs that it's offering and will turn into another version of South Africa. Once the cost of heating gets prohibitive many of the migrants in the west will go back to their home countries when they are given the choice between having to choose between having to heat and eat.
