I mean I would not all AA over all - a complete fuck up.... and I have in part been leading the charge and rolling topedoes into it's guts... BUT I have found most of it, to be immensely practical and these are GOOD life skills - These are my words - What is the REAL A.A. success rate? Out of each 1000 newcomers to A.A., how many will pick up a one-year sobriety medallion a year later? Or ever? And how many will get their 2-year, and 5-year, and 10-year coins? I tend to view the program of recovery as a small business management program - like if my life is fucked up and I don't know how to live, then putting pencil to paper and evaluating ALL the issues and then asking for help and also helping others is a good thing.....
