March marks anniversary of Athens college uprising

A massive march was held in Athens to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Polytechnic uprising that openly opposed the Greek military junta. The revolt was brutally suppressed, with at least 24 civilians killed.
Some protesters also carried Palestinian flags to express their support of Palestinians in the conflict in Gaza.
