Things that I set up, do tend to have extraordinarily long life spans....

This rope, isn't being set up to last 1,000's of years, though I could do it...

But some of it is used to suspend cables, out in the weather - and the other lots are just for LONG TERM storage in the dry and the dark....

The weather is typically dry, sunny and occassional rains... It might be sunny, overcast, warm, humid, cool, raining - occassionally.

I think with occassional redressing - every 4 months, it's good for say 10 - 15 years.

Hemp ties up into easy, locking knots of any configuration, where as the synthetic ropes only lock in special knots, that work on that material type.
