Just bought my last Subway

Yeah when they start measuring out grated carrot by the gram, and meat by the slice and the slices are getting paper thin, and the meat balls are like marbles instead of golf balls, and the gravy and other sauces are dosed out by the level teaspoon....

The corporates are stupid cunts, people come back for great food, not stingy sandwiches....

When the morons do that shit they are sending the place out of business.

I and a female friend went to a mexican resturant, and main meal was I dunno, beans and mince and tomato, with small bread wraps and it was like $22 Au per meal, 20 years ago...

The trouble was that there was like 3 small bread wraps the size of a large saucer, and there was about 2/3rds of a SMALL coffee cup of the meaty filling....

I called the waiter over and asked to speak to the manger - about the very small portion size.

The waiter was the manager, and her dismissal, "Oh that is what most customers prefer".

And in a peak dining time, I noted that in a place that seated 40 people, we two, and perhaps one other, were the only people in the place.

You would have to be a fucking moron to serve up a main meal, of basic ingredients, in portions so small that they would not fill the gut of a 4 year old.

You would probably have to have 4 or 5 courses of the main meal, for a decently filling adult meal.

There was a pub near me, and the women didn't like me sitting in the dining area, 3 steps from the kitchen door, instead of at the bar, which is a small labarynth away on the other side of the pub.

The cunts were the psycho bitches who married the town drunks - full of gossip, conflict and shitty customer relations skills..... Constantly in conflict and fighting with everyone about everything.

They were supposed to add a side salad to the main meal, and the cunts reduced it to a small piece of 3 x 3" leaf of lettuce..... So I asked, "This is supposed to have some tomato with it." While I pointed to the ingredient list in the menu - So they brought out ONE slice of small tomato, as thin as rice paper.

And resentfully slapped it onto my plate.

So I though to myself, "OK - I'll win by dining else where, once a fortnight..... and you will lose, by permanently losing a customer. Customers are what pay your wages. We will sit back and see where this ends up...".

Never went back ever.

And the psycho bitches, lost their jobs when the pub ran out of enough customers to stay in business, and they went back home to fight full time with their drunken husbands.

Been a few years since I did Subway. Only one I went to was when I worked in Manhattan and I went there a lot. There used to be one every couple of blocks, but this one was a few doors from my hotel. Same service experience: middle eastern guy working alone, bitter and surly. I always dropped something in the tip jar so he treated me very well- otherwise I'm sure I'd have gotten a skimpy sandwich.

Yeah, price went way up and quality way down the last few years
