She must own a sole proprietor business as from what I’ve been researching in it the owner and the business under the law are considered one and the same. So if the business is affected badly then your stuff is taken as collateral.

Under a corporation structure the business and the owner are treated as two separate entities under the law. Ain’t that interesting?
