Israeli soldiers push lifeless bodies from West Bank rooftop

Video has emerged that appears to show Israeli soldiers pushing lifeless bodies from rooftops in the West Bank on Thursday. According to the footage, and an AP journalist who witnessed the incident, three soldiers in the town of Qabatiya were seen kicking, dragging and swinging the bodies from the tops of buildings before pushing them over, with the bodies falling out of view.

The Israeli military has released a statement following the footage being shared, saying, ‘this is a serious incident that does not coincide with IDF values and the expectations from IDF soldiers,’ adding that ‘the incident is under review.’

Activists have condemned the footage, with Palestinian rights group Al-Haq saying, ‘there is no military need to do this. It’s just a savage way of treating Palestinian bodies,’ and expressing doubt that the incident would be properly investigated.
