Israel strikes Gaza in fire exchange following death of hunger striker

Explosions rocked the Gaza Strip as Israel launched airstrikes at the Palestinian exclave,which is home to around 2 million Palestinians. The Israeli attack followed a rocket barrage from Gaza in response to the death on Tuesday of high-profile Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan, who had been in Israeli custody.
