Of course they do! Some time ago a huge gas bubble was discovered near Gaza, and the palestinian authority had struck a deal with Shell for extracting it. They were making tons of money from it, until a couple years ago during another palestinian uprising, Israel took over (stole) the 2 gas rigs, and has been touting their horn about now being a major player in the international energy market. It's pure business incentives and theft. Quite a sizeable motive for invading and annexing gaza, wouldn't you say? Only that no soul is talking about it in the media, as usual.
