Being a HUGE fan of hammers and foundry work.....

The Aluminium Hammers are for anti sparking environments... you know explosive atmospheres, flammable gasses and places like oil refineries, coal mines, spray painting areas etc...

And they would also be used on materials and parts that you didn't want to break or damage... being a great deal softer than steel hammers. Like for tapping a stuck on head, off a truck motor etc..

And sure they are not as hard and as tough as steel hammers, but they would have to be used an awful lot, for a fucking long time, to lose say 20 or 30 mm of material from each face... I mean that is a LOT of hammering... A fucking lot actually....
