Yeah many years ago when racing through the very fine twists and turns of the Black Spur on the said motorcycle, I figured that despite DECENT (enough) tyres that while some corners might say 60 Kmh, and could be taken at 90 - 95, there were very tight U type corners that were sign posted at 25 Kmh, and you had better believe it... Best racing bike in the world would not get around these corners past 30...

I also learned about flying around blind corners, with up coming road obscured by the cut and side of the mountain....

That it might be say a 70 Kmh posted corner, and you could be taking it at 110 Kmh.... but with mid corner hard braking, your stopping distance might be 25 meters, but your visual range into the corner might be 10 meters...

And if you go flying into a corner, half way around it - you see the tree branch across the road....

Ohhhhh an upgrade - keep your speed and braking distance at around 1/2 your visual distance...

It leaves extra room for sand and dirt on the road, and distractions etc.. So if your visual range is 20 meters you can pull up in 10 meters...

I was riding like this at 16.... No training - nothing. But experience - dictates that racing along, is best done on a racing track.... not the obstacle course called a mountain road, with giant trees, tree branches, wild life and shit washing across the road....
