[Up Vote] Microsoft technologies tend to have a "Trash Bin" or "Recycle Bin" that has to be "Emptied" in order to free up space. Try that. Microsoft operating systems tend to have a free "Email Client" that one can attach to the hotmail.com accounts. They even have tutorials on how to make that happen.

Google does it too when you get full: I usually have to delete emails to get emails, and a lot of my pictures on it too, the Goggle drive. They are eager to get you to pay for more storage. Google wants $2 a month... but I'm not giving them a credit card.
Cloud and subscription is the only sustainable business model they got. I remember when the introduced the first Google Pixel phone. They promised unlimited storage for your images for forever. Only if I knew it was too good to be true. Good phone camera though but the phone tends to get overheated.
I remember when my satellite service arrogantly raised rates while the econ was on the way down.. I called to cancel and they shuffled me to this retention agent.. like how much can you pay.. I negotiated for awhile but ended up getting a decent antenna and going that route.. snip
