Hmmmm he probably enjoys creativity and coming up wiuth clever solutions to essentially get 2 or 3 x the life out of a bar, and once having mastered how to do it, he can then keep doing it. AND if he wants to do saw servicing for friends and neighbours, lets assume that a new bar is $50, if he can retrack them for $20 , that is a commodity.

IF he can reset them for $20 each, and the dealers charge $50 a bar, well he can extend the life of the bars x 3 x, that is $60. But buying 3 new bars is $150, AND if he can do 3 resets per bar, and he can do it to 5 bars, that is $300, but buying 15 bars is $750. If people want to minimise expenses, they can carry a stock of say 3 bars, and get all three reset at the same time, that is $60 instead of $150... i Id do the resetting as a pressed step into the metal on a die - to an exact size - similarly in the way that a stepped edge on a scythe is formed. --- How to Sharpen a Scythe Safely and Effectively https://www.mgtow.tv/v/8UOalU... f it's well done it should work.
