Cooking with Terracotta Pots and all that is rather nice... Go get some... The pots are not brilliant in terms of food sticking to a hot bit and the heat spreading around the bottom, no they get hot spots and can crack and break, but other wise they are really really nice.... Go get a couple of nice cooking pots from the chinese / asian / indian supermarkets good for wet stews on a low heat and frequent stirring.. look at the typical indian hot foods like curries, chick peas, etc... fairly high fluid, lots of watery liquid between the solid bits etc.. to flow the heat away from the hot spots in the terracotta pots..
