Acoustic ceiling tiles absorb sound and change acoustics drastically..

Hey, thanks, man. If you go to comments on KEEPER's gym clip, you'll see what solution I thought of.

Your sound quality is good however there are to many echoes in the room you record in.

YES, I am aware of it, but I'm sort of not having the cash to acoustically treat the room and buy a decent Audio Technica mic just yet. I'm kind of a poor retiree, you know.... I know what has to be done but it would burn me some 500 $ to get it done right. Mic is around 100, the foam, the glue, and I'm temporarily living in the kitchen because of insecticide accident. Well, when the bedroom will be available again, I'll at least go guerilla on this and glue some 30pcs egg cartons on the walls, but I can't simply do that in the kitchen. I worked at a local radio station at 19 years old, so I saw egg cartons actually work somewhat, but I have to wait for the bedroom decontamination for that. And it is just a standard cardioid built-in laptop mic. What I got to work with. Maybe I'll improve later. Summer, perhaps. You're right. There are dumb echoes. The concrete walls bounce them back, I know. I'll try improvising something. But.... how did you pick THAT up ? Do you edit sound frequently ?

ok so your using an laptop then, i have heard some ppl use methods in much more simple terms like using an sock over their mic to dampen the sound, but an laptop is tricky maybe put your laptop on an towel especially where the mic is, that could help dampen the sound echo. i even know some ppl who record their voice in the closet, lol there was an modder for an video game voice character who in order to get good voice files they would record in their closet to get the best sound quality, and you say your in the kitchen, perhaps you have an empty cupboard where you can place your laptop in with an towel to help with the dampening sounds, it's worth a shot.

@KEEPER: actually, I think I have an insane Idea that might work. Now I get it why MRX, the goy covering Skyrim mods, on YT did it. Echo need hard surfaces to bounce. So, some blankets I don't need to use, Romanian peasant folk decorated ther village homes with carpets on the walls anyway... I surround me and the laptop in a box made of fabric, blanket like, when I record. Bu the other issue can't be helped. Soon as I get some cash, ... pension or something, I'll see... gotta sacrifice a few bucks and buy a decent mic.

@KEEPER: and unless you know some narcissist, don't torture yourself by watching from the "Stonewalling" clip. I made it so who really needs the info may survive through it, but it is purposefully unbearable.

@OniriumSage: yeah, carpets on walls works as well, that's how they sound proof most schools for kids, every classroom has carpet all over the walls and the ground, but the ceiling is made of office type tiles so no need to put anything there. funny enough when you mentioned MXR, he was the one who i got that sock idea from to begin with lol.

also most of my content is dogshit. but i do care about audio, you have somewhat an thick accent but i think if the echos are taken care of, you will be a bit easier to hear.

@KEEPER: Man, sound is that kind of devil in the details that, when it is good, no one notices, when it is bad, is all fucked up. A 2$ webcam can make you good YT videos but one really does need a 200$ Yeti. And audio treatment of room. I know, I know.

@OniriumSage: yeah an yeti is what TFM uses. but if you aren't doing to well with money, choose the easier cheaper options. besides don't spend all that money unless you are absolutely sure this is what you want to do regularly. i know i don't, that's why i make really simple content, i have no interest in becoming the next content creator.

@KEEPER: Yea I want a good mic like bluepillman wats pwsse, but see, my pension is 200 $ so I either get a mic and don't smoke or drink that month, or I save in little fragments. A crippled 44 old dude doesn't get dream jobs in this backwater country. Young, with initiative, obedient and mindless, that's what hires.

And no, other than youtube comedy, I have no product to boost on crowdfunding sites, and hard work requires a good health. So, I gotta go Buddha on it, learn patience, and save my pennies. That's why maybe summer my sound won't be shitty.

@OniriumSage: I had a friend who complained of being poor all the time. And I asked him is there anything you spend money on that you don't need, and he posted his 5 packs of cigarettes and his drinking on the weekends, I told him to try and reduce these things, and he did and suddenly he had more money for things. He eventually quit smoking and drinking, except on occasion socially, but only for the drinking.
