If you found this beneficial, do consider liking and subscribing. It’s a small click with a big kindness behind it. 🙏✨
🕌 In this special address recorded at his beach house in the village of Mero, southern Trinidad, on the fourth day of Safar 1448 AH, Sheikh Imran N. Hosein makes an appeal for qualified volunteers to help translate his complete collection of books into the Malay and Indonesian languages.
📘 The address begins with Sheikh Imran reflecting on his relationship with Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia and Indonesia. Having lived in Malaysia for many years and travelled frequently throughout the region, he expresses his deep affection for its people, language, culture, and Islamic communities.
🌙 A major focus of this address is the importance of the Malay language, which is spoken across Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, and other communities throughout the region. Sheikh Imran explains that several of his books have already been translated, but that the translation work must now continue until his complete collection becomes accessible to Malay- and Indonesian-speaking readers.
📖 The discussion then develops into a reflection on Sheikh Imran’s longstanding connection with Indonesia, especially Jember and the Islamic centre established by Sheikh Abdul Aziz. He recalls the generosity shown to him there and describes Indonesia as a country in which he would gladly spend the remaining years of his life.
🕊️ The address also explores the requirements for volunteer translators. Sheikh Imran calls for individuals who possess a strong command of Malay or Indonesian, have a good knowledge of English, understand his scholarship and methodology, and are willing to work with his existing teams in Malaysia and Indonesia.
⭐ The session further includes plans to translate Maulana Ansari’s work on the Qur’anic foundations of Muslim society, publish the completed translations on digital platforms, and print the books when funding becomes available. Sheikh Imran explains that readers who are able may contribute a small download fee, while those unable to pay will continue to receive access free of charge.
