Grim's Horror Theater: Black Roses (1988)

What if heavy metal did all of the things that people said it did back during the Satanic Panic? This (now not so rare) movie focuses on just that and it comes packed with a Lizzy Borden fronted soundtrack. The music here makes people murder, want to have incestuous relationships and even brings strange beautiful women into their rooms from out of nowhere. Can't say I've ever had a record do that. Having listened to thousands of records in my tenure as a former rock and heavy metal critic, some of them being outright rituals, I've never seen anything like this happen in twenty-five years. IU think a lot of the bands would wish for this kind of success though, but nah - it rarely happens. Metal music these days is nothing compared to what it used to be.

Eah Grim! I saw you made songs for Phil on the Dollhouse website! I made one too! It's here if you want to check it out: https://www.mgtow.tv/watch/mec....hanical-heartbeat_a9

Also, if you don't like this quality, you guys can watch it on Tubi, Shudder, Plex, a lot of other places. But it's the 1980's so I don't think the quality is gonna get that much better. Remember that they decided to buy up the rights to a lot of these once rare films for streaming, but they may have edited things as well - so keep that in mind.

So yes, there is some spicy content here, surprisingly. It is an R-Rated film. But I wouldn't call it a softcore. Also the thing that girl turns into near the end of the film is quite horrific. Great puppetry that reminds me of House. The horror film, not the television show. There's also some really corny, hilarious moments in the film. "I'd like to incorporate screaming in my practice - AHHHHHHHHH!"
