Back when I framed houses, and needed some real grippers on the plywood the beginning of the high priced shoes were BRITISH KNIGHTS shoes owned by phil knight... 200 a pair.. 189 plus taxes as I recall in 1989 maybe.. then came nike, made in vietnam. same high prices.. 150 a pair. in the '90's..
