In my experience aspirin is way too mild but ibuprofen gets the job done. Back in the day I used to buy Metamizol Natrii or "Analgin" aka Dipyrone or just Metamizole as a good pain relief, but it was removed some while ago due to its effect on blood. It is banned completely in places like the U.S. or Australia but it is sold OTC in some EU states and countries in Asia.
