Flash floods in St. Louis leave one dead

Record rainfall caused severe flooding across the St. Louis area, killing one person, displacing many others and prompting evacuations from homes, businesses and vehicles. More than 100 people were rescued by response teams across the region, mostly from cars, as drivers and passengers tried to traverse submerged roadways.
