I wonder if animals, dogs in particular, can see those energy aura fields. Several years ago I brought a woman I had recently started dating to a friends house so they could meet. My friend's normally very friendly two dogs were afraid of her. One let out a couple of howls then ran and hid under the bed and didn't come out until we left. The other tucked it's tale and hid in the corner staring at her and shaking. And yes, she did turn out later to be a gold digging succubus.
In my lifetime I've had a couple of draining psychic Vampires attack me. Now a say's I find them easy to sense or spot and I can safely avoid them
