I have wondered if it's possible to flow enough water - like a channel to the volcano, or super caldera - to dump it's heat and distribute it around the worlds oceans.

Like - I am into "Overwhelmed" territory - because it's not like turning a garden hose onto a BBQ....

The sizes and eruptions of continent splitting volcanos are --------- Fuck.....

These things are HUGE and horrendous - as in virtually ending all live on earth kind of horrendous.

And these are relatively insignificant amounts of lava and the super eruptions - are just plain huge.

I believe there was a fisher's village in Iceland that was saved from the lava by an ingenius system of pipes that used seawater to cool down the stream at the edges enough to divert its flow from the village. So it is possible, but it all depends on the situation of course.

@usr6874038614: Yeah monster container sized pumps were flow in from the USA, and they just pumped HUGE amounts of water, to stop the lava burying all of the village and blocking the entrance to the harbour...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E632NYUYigM - from about 1:20 onward the eruption begins..... It's just the MAGNITUDE of everything to do with volcanos and lava - and this is small shit - and they just get HUGER....... Astronomical.....
