In this video series, Lucy Worsley and a good historian bring to light what a pack of lying cunts "the media" (the chroniclers / historians) of the times were, based upon who was paying their way... Nothing much has changed.

I saw a good documentary on interpreting works, like tapestries and paintings etc., that in our time, look like kind of serious scenes, but the finer details, carried the butt of the joke for the ruler of the times, or of the enemies of the people etc. That illustration of the frog in the corner of the image, was not just a frog, it was symbolic of what frogs at that time meant, AND the links to the foreign king or queen AND used as terms of oblique derision, that were understood by the people of that time, but no one now, gets THAT meaning or knows of or remembers these somewhat abstract connections.

I think this is shewn from around 17 minutes onwards.
