Plaza Guayarte - Guayaquil has done a great job adding and upgrading parks for its citizens throughout the busy city. Plaza Guayarte is an expansion of an earlier park. Now on both sides of the river near the University of Guayaquil, it is an uncrowded place to walk with various art structures and artist displays, an elevated stage where sometimes there is entertainment, and many small places to get food and sit. Nice for a walk, quiet lunch hour.

Guayaquil Malecón - located in the city of Guayaquil, next to the Guayas River, is an urban regeneration project of the old Malecón Simón Bolívar, 2.5 km long, where you can enjoy the great monuments of the history of Guayaquil, such as the Hemicycle of the Rotunda, museums, gardens, fountains, shopping center, restaurants, bars, food courts, the first IMAX cinema in South America, as well as docks, from where you can board boats for day and night walks along the Guayas River and viewpoints among other attractions.
