God has allowed Satan to wreak havoc on the West as a whole, just as He allowed him to do the same to Job. Reading the Book of Job will show us (for those with eyes to see, and ears to hear) who we REALLY are (compared to Job): A bunch of spoiled ingrates who wouldn't have gotten the blessings that made of great, without God giving them to us. Once we as Western nations acknowledge that, change our wicked ways, then ask for His forgiveness, He'll restore us back to our place, as He sees fit (2Chr 7:14). Until then, like the Ancient Israelites, we'll spend a few more decades in our physical and spiritual "wilderness".
