EU enters technical recession after two consecutive quarters of contraction

The EU has slipped into technical recession following two consecutive quarters of contraction, aggravating the economic forecast for the bloc. That's as the Eurostat agency has revised data covering the first quarter of 2023 and the final three months of last year.
