Whatever happened to the phrase, 'learning from other people's mistakes'? If you realize the pointlessness of something after seeing so many other people try it and fail (marriage for example), why the hell would a rational human being willingly partake in that? A person that takes in observable reality is going to save themselves time, money, frustration, emotional and mental anguish, etc.
