I reckon Office 2003 was pretty fucking good - after that - the magical cash cow "fuck with the interface" overhaul - was so badly done, I threw the CD's out.... There is releasing shitty buggy software (microsoft normal Crapware) and then there is releasing software that is pure garbage..... Pfffftttt

Libreoffice opens editable PDF's too..... HUGE bonus.

I used Office with Win7- you're right: That interface overhaul fuckng sucked. I hate the disapearing scroll bar in Win10... and don't get me started on Win11!? Though, it appears to have some programs to help making videos easier and easier to edit them with MS window programs included... out of the box I mean. or so I read.

@WMHarrison94: Have you considered moving to Linux? You can do it in stages, to say if you have a HUGE drive, you can resize it, and make it a 2 OS drive or add in another drive and set it up as dual boot.... It's rock solid brilliant.... There is the core program with different interfaces.... I use the XFCE interface as it's pretty much a basic menu driven layout... https://xubuntu.org/ AND there are different versions of the linux, with similar XFCE interfaces..... @WMHarrison94: The dual boot thing - is that there are some REALLY REALLY incredible software available - almost all of it for free on Linux.... I mean I get the impression that the subtle and slowly rising tsunami of developers is putting more and more and more into Linux..... because they just hate Microsoft.

I have been watching Mint and Majero, Switched To Linux reviews them... and there's Elemental and uhm Centos, which you can buy premade Linux pc installed: I remember a custome built site-- had some wood computer cases....
