Im an irish descendant. My ancestors arrived to this country in an overcrowded boat where a third of the travellers died to disease. They arrived in this country starving and with nothing but the clothes on their backs, indentured servants in everything by name, kicked out of their ancestral home because their foreign english landlords wouldnt stop playing politics with the lives of people. They were denied jobs (irish need not apply, anyone?) and basic human respect for longer than theyve been treated like people.
