And in this documentary - "The History of the Universe" - it has a great section on the vastness of the universe, the staggeringly long time scales and the time needed for life to go from minerals and water to advanced civilisations, like a few billion years on earth, that can actually cross tens or hundreds or thousands or millions or billions of light years of space, just to get here....
It's just a really realistic appraisal of the situation.
It's quite a long video though... and it has the one bit somewhere in the middle... ish.
