I got seconded to drive a General around for a couple of weeks once, very interesting bloke, super intelligent,(scarily so),and he once told me that if SHTF grab your gear and bug out. Take immediate family if you can but only if you can get them to or on the way to a safe place.
He also told me that our nation,(small),didn't have a shit show of defending against a bigger, better equipped invader but that NO country with active guerrillas has ever been defeated. Vietnam is a good example for Americans as is Afghanistan which has been at war with someone or other for all of recorded history and there has NEVER been a victorious invader.
Anyone with any working bits of thinking meat would have made their plans and a hit list years ago along with prepped way stations for travel, ammo and supply dumps etc. Hunting and fishing are more than just recreation.
If you have ever lived as a bum in your travels you are already ahead of most, if you joined the forces and got some gummit training even better.
Very hard to walk away from all you have built but anyone who has been diebyforce raped is already mentally toughened.

We don't talk much about the most important thing. Connect and organize in a group of like minded people. Strength in numbers. Trumps America, the only real America is 50% of population. Half of the people are on the right side. And on the other half not all of them are bad or evil. Americans need to organize in a military or militia type of organisation and not a single force on the planet can defeat them. Imagine 150-200 million people organized with 50 million men in armed forces organized into units. They will run for their lives from us. If the system collapses the worst thing is that all care only about themselves. We need to be part of a collective. Prepare yourself but also prepare as part of a group. We need to be strong individuals organized in a collective.

Great video! My husband and I live with our three young elementary age school kids on an acre in a small town about an hour north of Seattle. We have a well (with hand pump back up) and food stored. We are of the mind we will probably have to stay put with the kids and defend as best we can from home. What are your thoughts of staying vs. leaving with kiddos? Could you talk about ways to improve the chances of surviving with young kids in a home defense situation? Our house is two story and we have bought plywood for all the windows/doors downstairs...

The time to prepare for a societal collapse is long past. The rioting of last year was just a foretaste of Gods judgement that is about to fall on America. Please read the book "Lost Prophecies Of The Future Of America" by Michael Snyder. Also read "One Second After" by William R. Forchchen. If that book doesent get you to prepping, I don't know what will.

Over 2 decades ago, we had a seminar in the city within which I live about our infrastructure. The presenter gave us a scenario of going just 35 miles away to another particular place within a city north of us. Let's say there was a massive earthquake or a mountain nearby exploded as a volcano (not too far from a possible reality). He asked us how many bridges and overpasses were on the way. The answer was 22. I must also add that there is an ocean sound to the west and rivers to the north, east and south of us. They are not small rivers. They are dangerous. And suppose the worst were to happen: All 22 bridges / overpasses were collapsed.

At this point, there's no viable way out of the city in any direction. May I add that there are even more bridges and overpasses. So planning any escape route may mean... a raft of some sort -- inflatable. I know this isn't the case in many states, but it is certainly a consideration.

As for Detroit, Michigan? North, you say. Well, you might get out of town, but then what? What's north is part of the Great Lakes and a bridge to Canada. Going north for a while and then south by west may get you out of Michigan and maybe you could make it to North Dakota. It isn't the most desirable place for survival, but, OK.

I'm just saying that for every action there are going to be consequences. In any scenario, there will be at least 20% unforeseen circumstances.

It's great to plan. In fact, to fail to plan is a plan to fail. Go ahead and leverage what you know and what you can foresee, but be advised, it is very likely you will have to be innovative.

Substitutes - or even outright replacements - for peanut butter:

Pemmican: A survival food of the Native Americans, it's roughly a 50/50 mix of tallow (rendered beef fat) and powdered dried meat. Prepared and stored properly it can last a very long time. Archeologists have unearthed pemmican wrapped in oiled rawhide out on the Great Plains that was at least 100 years old and was still edible; no bacterial or mold rot. Using modern techniques of vacuum packing with dessicant and oxygen absorber packs, it may well last indefinitely while the seal remains unbroken.

Ghee Butter: A clarified butter boiled to remove all water and then strained to remove all milk solids. Prepared properly it requires no refrigeration and will keep for some time. Like pemmican, if you were to vacuum pack it and add oxygen absorbers and dessicant packs while storing it in the freezer, when it times to bug out and you grab it to go, it will last forever until the seal is broken. Then it will last for weeks afterwards once opened.

It is absolutely vital to know (((WHO))) brought us to this point. Once you learn what (((THEY'VE))) done since the end of WW2 (and prior depending on how you set benchmarks), then it is all too obvious why your lives are being disrupted, your nation stolen, and your future robbed.

I am guessing that you are posting this video as a cautionary example of what can happen in a catastrophe with a 72 hour window of opportunity to escape it. I live in one of those large metropolitan areas that I have the intention to escape from without the catastrophe to propel me faster. There are avenues of escape in any direction, but you are dead on correct if you go any direction, avoid the big cities, or any cities to be honest. The reason being is that once the big cities are under control the small cities will see their police turn into warlords, using the color of law to take from any traveler what they own. The only way to survive any of these scenarios is to be already off grid. Currency being what it is, because we are on a path to economic collapse the likes of which we the living have never experienced, it is good to have things to barter for sure. Whether it be material goods, or a skill set, you will do better in a group of people who can look out for you, than if you are just some administrator or a bureaucrat.

The getting in shape mindset took hold for me last month and did a pretty good job of improving my level of activity. You are absolutely correct that being in better shape will pay a dividend to your survival. Though winter being what it is, fat might keep you alive a little longer and certainly a little warmer.

I have been watching what is happening in my own city. After Biden was put into office, the homeless camp that was a mile from my house disappeared overnight. 770 people and their 350 tents spread across a mile of road and parks, disappeared overnight. I am of the mind that being homeless will not make you invisible to the powers that be. If the powers that be want to find you, all they need to do these days is look for your cell phone. In order to go full on survival mode, you have to sacrifice all those tech gadgets completely and go 100 percent analog.

A lot of people are simply going to be unable to do that. All because they won’t know how to function without their electronic leash.
