Chinese athlete flies over Tianmen National Park mountains

Zhang Shupeng became the first Chinese athlete to fly over the Tianmen mountains in Zhangjiajie, in the country’s Hunan Province. The ‘bird man’, equipped with parachutes, a flight suit, a helmet, and other flying instruments, took off and glided over the stunning landscape.

‘I think wingsuit flying is the closest human sport to being a bird, and after wearing a flight suit, it's like wearing my clothes,’ said Shupeng. He added that he hopes to achieve even higher goals and win the World Championships this September.
