Brave divers plunge into River Tiber on New Year’s Day

Hundreds of people gathered on a bridge over the River Tiber in Rome to witness the performance of the daredevils taking a plunge during traditional New Year’s celebrations.

Italian divers took part in the Roman New Year’s tradition as spectators cheered them on. One 70-year-old diver named Maurizio was participating in the annual event for the 35th year in a row.
