I'm a Boomer. Marriage financially for me was just treading water and going into slight debt. Since sorting out my own finances with no achilles heel I can get through anything hyper inflation can throw at me, even with no income whatsover. I've planned for it. I didn't anticipate the convid, but I certainly knew printed money and inflation would come into play.

The boomers are getting divorced in large numbers because they married before many of the laws related to marriage started to change. Once men realise that the marriage laws will only continue to get worse they start to head for the exit. This results in either the man or the woman filing for divorce.
In recent years many young men have figured out that marriage is a disaster, this is why the marriage rate is declining among younger people.
