So these guys carried on 'til the 90s, under 3 names. Had session work by Mel Collins on the 2nd band's album. Neat. He's from one of my favorite bands.

Here's one from the second incarnation... Any flutes or sax would be Mel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU9-BkTxnUk

Cool. Never heard of them.
The golden age of bands miming their music, at least these guys looked like they were having fun. It really pissed off a few bands though. Ian Anderson would be uncooperative from time to time, felt it was disrespectful to the fans and band. He was right. He'd stop and look at the camera, mid sentence, or be too far away from the mic, things of this nature. Vanilla Fudge made the best stand though. Came out with the wrong instruments to play You Keep Me Hangin' On. Made fools of the TV people. They started letting bands play live soon after.

Shows even then how the establishment were twerrified of what the band's (Perfectly capable of reproducing THEIR song) may do or say live? lol! We have the Kinks Lola Coca Cola had to be chyanged to Cherry Cola so they could perform on the BBC as an example. The Big Fucvk up the tech's made with their ewuipment with "All about Eve's" Martha's Harbor when they didn't even hear the start of the track and sat their becauseJuly Ann Reagan couldn't hear it. early signs of how FAKE the establishment were then and still are NOW.

@mrghoster: Yep. Censored The Stones on Sullivan. Jim Morrison scared the crap out of them (including the rest of The Doors), never knew what he was going to do or say next.
