I sent my 36 yo son a letter today , explaining some things about reality.. in the '80's when I was living with his mother before we married , meh , 1985. I bought a Pontiac Catalina with new paint that had a weak engine.. a 400 that would rattle once the air was turned on.. well I put a camshaft from my 69 gto and new lifters in it.. It was revitalized.. would , could spin the tires from a dead stop.. fast car by all accounts.. 2 door with a 400.. and stock gto cam.. anyways, I put money and work into that car making it good.. a store of wealth ,, good for another 10 years maybe.. so we had our son.. when he was 2 she left me.. moved to Tampa with my car.. it was in her name because I had a dl issue when I bought the car.. she took my store of wealth in that car and used it to her liking.. driving around strange people ,, who did not deserve to be in that car.. at my expense for YEARS.. my loss.. tell this to a kid or a woman and they are clueless.. I had the money, the tools ,, the knowledge ,, paid for everything , did the work.. created something for my life.. for my wife.. just to have her take it and use it for people I didn't even like.. helping THEM at my expense.. She had that car around 7 years after filing for divorce.. great car and I miss it.
