Fires in Caceres province increased on Friday, with intense outbreaks in the municipalities of Las Hurdes and Casas de Miravete. Nearly two hundred firefighters are on the ground.

I am not saying these fires are insignificant - but they are NOTHING like Australian Bushfires - with the BIG eucalyptus trees exploding from all the oil in the leaves boiling off (turpenes) and with lots of dry, thick, leaf litter on the forest floor.....
To me this is almost like a "garden hose" kind of a fire....
Sure the winds are not strong and a trailer with a water tank and a fire pump and a 20mm hose - just wet down ahead of it and make it go around the house, or stop it going into the olive grove etc.
